CRIME REPORTS: A Freeway Nudist, Pot Puffer, Mr. Loud

A selection of crime reports from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log over the past few days.

At 10:34 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported indecent exposure near Rancho Viejo Road and the Ortega Highway. The caller was driving north on the 5 freeway and spotted a nude male in his late 40s who was watching traffic pass behind the Marbella shopping center. There was no report of an arrest.

At 7:32 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a reckless driver near Paseo Adelanto and Del Obispo Street. An elderly woman was driving a brown Oldsmobile on the wrong side of the street and weaving in and out of traffic. 

At 8:27 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 26500 block of Camino de Vista. A man was going door to door in an apartment complex asking for money. The man came out of a green van and wore a striped shirt and baggy pants.

At 11:35 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 26400 block of Via Romona. There was no further information. 

At 1:59 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Camino Capistrano and La Zanja intersection. A group of males were standing around a vehicle and one appeared to be holding a rifle or gun. There was no further information provided.

At 1:25 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 26900 block of Via Pointe. A male in a white blue Chevy was smoking marijuana.

At 8:59 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported indecent exposure near the Avenida Pescador and Camino La Ramblas intersection. A male in a navy blue car was exposing his butt. The caller said the man was also wearing a woman’s thong.

At 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grand theft in the 33900 block of Doheny Park Road. He was taken into custody. 

At 5:28 p.m Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 32100 block of Camino Capistrano. A man in a 1980s white Chrysler Imperial was allegedly hitting a young girl

At 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26300 block of Wildwood Lane. The caller asked for police assistance to get her roommate to turn down his loud music. The woman said she had repeatedly asked her roommate to lower the volume but he yelled and kicked her door in response. The woman was concerned he was using drugs.
