An Intoxicated Driver on Ortega Highway

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 3:44 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a vandalism in the 27100 block of Ortega Highway. The informant reported the local business Flower and Gift experienced an act of vandalism to its air compressor

At 6:29 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 32200 block of Paseo Carlonia. The report stated that several subjects were seen drinking alcohol in the street. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the I-5 freeway and Ortega Highway. The report stated that a possibly intoxicated woman driving a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was seen hitting a center divider. The woman proceeded to turn right onto Ortega and the vehicle's front right tire began to swerve. 

At 9:58 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a family disturbance in the 27100 block of Paso Del Este. The report stated that a husband and wife were heard in a heated verbal argument. There was no suspected use of weapons or narcotics. 

At 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a traffic accident with unknown injuries in the 33900 block of Doheny Park Road. The informant reported that a motorcyclist had collided with a white vehicle. Firefighters were dispatched to assist with the accident. 

At 7:17 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a non-injury traffic accident near the Junipero Serra Road intersection with the I-5. The report stated that a Nissan Maxima had collided with a Toyota Prius on an offramp

At 11:45 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 31400 block of Calle La Purisima. The informant reportedly witnessed a group of drunk minors attempting to open the door of their neighbor's home. The report stated there were four males and one female.
