Coyotes Haunt Teacher, Parties Bother Neighbors

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 10:50 p.m. Saturday, a reckless driver was reported near the Camino Capistrano-Del Obispo Street intersection. According to the report, a white Volkswagen Passat was seen driving across multiple traffic lanes on Ortega before it turned into the parking lot. 

At 5:55 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26500 block of Calle Delphina. The informant reported a loud party in progress with heavy bass music. Deputies were asked to tell the partiers to turn down the bass.

At 1:57 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the El Camino Real-Yorba Street intersection. According to the report, deputies detained two people in the for being very intoxicated

At 9:10 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Del Obispo Street-Camino Capistrano intersection. The railroad crossing arms on Del Obispo were reportedly cycling improperly

At 11:43 p.m. Friday, deputies assisted an outside agency in the 31800 block of Plaza Drive. Deputies were needed to assist with a man who was on some kind of narcotics. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 11:24 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26500 block of Calle San Francisco. According to the report, there was a loud party in progress with several men drinking alcohol and being very rowdy

At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 32000 block of Paseo Carolina. The informant reported a neighbor who has been harassing residents in a community laundry room. The man was suspected of selling narcotics. 

At 8:27 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 31200 block of Via Parra. According to the report,

At 1:03 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Alipaz-Del Obispo streets intersection. The informant was reportedly upset about a motorcycle that was racing up and down the street on Alipaz. 

At 3:25 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 32000 block of Paseo Carolina. The report stated two men had gotten into a heated argument with a woman. Deputies reported detaining one of the subjects. 

At 11:03 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 29200 block of Vista Montana. A teacher at requested an escort to their vehicle because there were four coyotes nearby.
