Drunk at Taco Bell: I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 9:25 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a 911 hang up in the 31400 block of Camino Capistrano. According to the report, a child called dispatchers and was attempting to disguise his voice while saying “help me.”

At 9:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Junipero Serra Road at the I-5 Freeway. According to the report, a vehicle had stalled in the middle of the intersection and was causing a disturbance in the flow of traffic.

At 6:13 p.m. Sunday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 31700 block of Del Obispo Street. According to the report, a drunk, elderly man had fallen on the ground in and could not get up. The man wished to be taken to the hospital. 

At 12:27 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31000 block of Calle San Diego. The informant was reportedly disturbed by a loud party occurring near his residence.

At 10:37 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street. According to the report, a drunk man was disturbing the public as he wandered around the

At 7:24 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a traffic accident near the Camino Capistrano-Calle Lorenzo intersection. The report stated that a group of minors in a gray Chrysler had crashed into a city light pole, causing it to fall down. The report stated one youth was transported to San Clemente Hospital for treatment. 

At 6:13 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 26600 block of Calle Sauzal. The report stated that a group of subjects was throwing pieces of trash in front of the informant’s house and into the street

At 3:03 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a non-injury traffic accident near the Del Obispo Street-Camino Capistrano intersection. The report stated that a gray Toyota and a gray Nissan had collided.
