Drunk at the Drive-Thru and Gutter Mud

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Selected calls from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log throughout the past few days.

These calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 11:11 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrested a 32-year-old woman near the Trabuco Creek and Rancho Viejo roads intersection. The report did not specify why she was arrested but said her white Mercedes-Benz hit a couple of cars, then got stuck in mud and was blocking traffic.

At 11:52 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a missing minor in the 26500 block of Paseo Belardes.

At 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a hit and run near the Ortega Highway and I-5 Freeway intersection. The victim was driving a gold Honda Accord. 

At 6:26 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 32900 block of Paseo Del Lucero. A man scooped mud from the gutter and smeared it across a white sedan. According to the informant, the man then looked into into several cars and appeared to be attempting to enter them.

At 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the intersection of Del Obispo Street and Ortega Highway. A black Ford Escape made several unsuccessful attempts to enter a McDonald's drive-thru lane. After failing, the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, dropped trash in the parking lot. 

At 8:33 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31600 block of El Camino Real. Deputies detained a man and escorted him to the train station because he was pushing people in the Calvary Chapel sanctuary

At 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a burglary in the 32100 block of San Juan Creek Road. Several cars were broken into at the San Juan Hills Golf Course

At 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 26500 block of Junipero Serra Road. A taxi-cab driver carrying the caller stopped to get gas and then drove off while the caller was using the restroom. The caller's luggage was still in the cab.
