Minors Set Off Fireworks from Creek

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 3:53 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a petty theft report in the 28400 block of Calle Mira Monte. 

At 12:14 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a drunk driver in the 30800 block of Golf Club Drive. 

At 4:47 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the intersection of Verdugo Street and Camino Capistrano. The hazard involved a black BMW that had stalled in the intersection.

At 9:34 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a fireworks violation near the Alipaz Street-Via Monterey intersection. The report stated that a group of minors was shooting of illegal fireworks from a bike trail.

At 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Alipaz-Del Obispo streets intersection. The hazard involved a trash bag full of bottles and cans which had fallen into the street.

At 9:58 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, a caller reported a petty theft in the 26400 block of Calle Rolando. The informant reported to deputies that items had been stolen from a truck
