Pit Bull on the Loose & a Drug Deal

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 2:59 a.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 35-year-old man near the I-5 Freeway at Ortega Highway. According to the report, deputies stopped the man near the parking lot and discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody, and there was no posted bail amount. 

At 12:26 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Calle Ricardo-Calle Aspero intersection. The report stated that a loud party with music was in progress with many cars parked on the street. Deputies reported detaining two subjects. 

At 12:26 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 30300 block of Camino Capistrano. The report stated that a man in his 20s was acting strange and took off his T-shirt before he was kicked out of the  home. A security guard kicked the man out, and he was last seen walking on Camino Capistrano. 

At 10:55 p.m. Thursday, deputies assisted firefighters near the Calle Aspero-Del Obispo Street interchange. According to the report, firefighters transported to San Clemente Hospital a man who was bleeding from the back of the head, caused by a fall. 

At 8:11 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a fireworks violation in the 31500 block of Calle La Purisima. The informant reportedly saw a group of 10 minors who appeared to be affiliated with a gang, setting off fireworks. Deputies detained one of the minors who was reportedly on probation. 

At 6:13 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 39-year-old man in near the Camino Capistrano-La Zanja Street intersection. The informant suspected the man was conducting a drug deal as them saw him exchange a large bundle with another subject next to the . The man was taken into custody, and there was no posted bail amount. 

At 6:09 p.m. Thursday, deputies assisted an outside agency near the Via Madonna-Via Del Cerro intersection. According to the report, a pit bull was running loose in a neighborhood and was eventually detained by authorities. 

At 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Camino Del Avion-Alipaz Street intersection. According to the report, a large black Dodge Ram diesel dually was parked on a red curb and was blocking southbound traffic lanes.
