Don't Steal from Rite Aid; They Catch You Every Time

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services Log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26700 block of Via El Socorro. According to the report, the informant was disturbed by two men who in a heated verbal argument. The argument was occurring near the Santa Rosalia-Via San Vicente intersection. 

At 1:59 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a hit and run to a parked car in the 31500 block of Los Rios Street. According to the report, a red Dodge Durango and a black Mazda were hit by an unidentified vehicle

At 1:44 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 31800 block of Plaza Drive. The report stated that a man was detained in a back room at for stealing. Employees reported the man was being cooperative but wanted to leave. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 24-year-old woman near the Camino Capistrano-Stonehill Drive intersection. According to the report, the woman had a previous existing warrant and may have been intoxicated. The woman was cited and released for the the offense.

At 8:37 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near Camino Capistrano and Del Obispo Street. According to the report, the informant approached a man with no shirt on in his vehicle and the man became verbal

At 5:43 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 27900 block of Camino Del Rio. The informant was disturbed by a group of five men who were drinking from open containers and smoking in a pool area. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 3:03 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Del Obispo Street-Camino Capistrano intersection. According to the report, the railroad crossing arms were signaling that a train was coming when there was really no train. Metrolink was dispatched to troubleshoot the problem.  

At 10:43 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the 31700 block of Rancho Viejo Road. The report stated that a man was detained by deputies near the . The informant reported the man was loitering in the courtyard of . 

At 10:56 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 32100 block of Camino Capistrano. The report stated that a woman was detained for stealing from . The report stated the woman was being cooperative. 

At 1:41 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Del Obispo Street-Camino Del Avion intersection. According to the report, the informant was disturbed by a man in white shirt who was hitchhiking
