CRIME REPORTS: Soccer Players Fight, Campaign Sign Ruined

Here are various crimes pulled from the San Juan Capistrano Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 5:50 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported from the 26700 block of Verdugo Street a suspicious person. There was a woman seen walking on the edge of the three story parking structure next to the train station. The report did not say if she fell off.

At 10:03 p.m. Friday, police arrested a 23-year-old woman from the 26400 block of Paseo Del Mar. The woman’s neighbors said they could hear her arguing with another man from their apartment. The woman is currently in custody with a bail amount of $50,000.

At 5:02 p.m. Friday, a caller reported from the 31900 block of Del Obispo a disturbance. There was a group of minors panhandling in front of the Bank of America. Police reported that one of them has been doing this all week.

At 9:02 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person from the cross streets of Avenida Cabrillo and Via Del Amo. There was a subject looking into cars and checking gate locks to various residences. Police made no further report. 

At 11:11 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of someone being drunk in public at Del Obispo and Camino Capistrano. There was a woman siting in her baby blue Volkswagen Bug and could barely stand up and walk when asked, police reported. The woman had also just bought a box of wine.

At 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 32300 block of Alipaz Street. The caller saw a black Ford Truck with two occupants and said they were smoking marijuana. Police made no report of an arrest. 

At 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a hit and run at the cross streets of La Novia and San Juan Creek. An elderly man in a sliver Chrysler 300 had hit a fence at the golf course and continued to drive onto the golf course.

At 8:09 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported an act of vandalism in the 31800 block of Paseo La Branza. Someone had ripped a campaign sign from a post and ripped it in half.

At 7:27 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person from the cross street of Camino Capistrano and Oso road. There was a group of four male minors loitering on the bridge that goes over the railroad tracks. Police made no further report. 

At 10:20 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a battery assault near Avery Parkway and the 5 freeway. A soccer coach said one of his players was punched by a player on the opposing team. Police made no report of an arrest.
