A Street Brawl, Kids with Fireworks

These are selected reports from the San Juan Police Dispatch Services Log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 9:59 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31700 block of Avenida Avilla. According to the report, the informant reportedly kicked his son out of his home and proceded to have a heated, verbal argument. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 10:31 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a burglary in the 33800 block of Via Cascada. The informant reportedly witnessed an unknown subject attempting to open her front door

At 7:49 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported an illegal parked vehicle near the Los Rios-La Zanja streets intersection. The report stated several cars were double parking on both sides of Los Rios and La Zanja and were making it difficult to drive down the street

At 6:57 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to assist a citizen near Camino Capistrano and Junipero Serra Road. According to the report, a woman was parked near a soccer field and was upset about the damage a soccer ball caused to her vehicle

At 5:26 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the Camino Capistrano and La Zanja Street. The informant reportedly saw a the driver of a green Ford F-150 in an alley way off La Zanja looking intoxicated. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 10:44 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a hit and run into a parked vehicle near the Camino Capistrano-La Zanja Street intersection. The informant’s vehicle was reportedly hit by a driver who was suspected of being intoxicated. The driver was in a black Ford Explorer and was last seen heading north on the I-5 freeway.

At 11:51 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31100 block of Via Santo Tomas. The informant reportedly witnessed a six to eight subjects who were fighting in the street. The subjects then proceded to stand around a light post, and it was unclear if they were playing or fighting. 

At 11:47 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 28400 block of Via Mambrino. The report stated there was a loud and out-of-control party in progress and minors were suspected to be drinking

At 9:03 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a firework violation near the Paseo Carolina-Paseo Pamela intersection. According to the report, minors were setting off fireworks in the street. There was no report of an arrest.
