New Store Comes to Town, Gets Ripped Off

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26400 block of Paseo Carmel. The informant was reportedly disturbed by several minors who were bouncing a soccer ball against a garage  door

At 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, a burglary reportedly occurred at the O’Reillys Auto Parts store in the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street.

At 5:39 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Rancho Viejo-Village roads intersection. The report stated that an unidentified subject was causing a disturbance in the flow of traffic by placing cones in the road. The cones were later moved next to a radar trailer. 

At 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Cerro Rebal-Via Fortuna intersection. The informant was upset about three minors who were riding motorized scooters on a hillside. There was no report of an arrest.

At 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 32500 block of Paseo Adelanto. The informant reported that his wallet was stolen from the Kentucky Fried Chicken the previous night. 

At 9:57 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 31200 block of Via Sonora. The informant was reportedly upset about a woman who was seen rummaging through trash cans

At 7:54 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the Rancho Viejo Road-Calle De La Rosa intersection. The report stated that a man was hanging out on a center divider and was wandering in and out of traffic
