Deputies Called to Inspect Dead Body

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a lost and/or stolen phone is tracked down, a group of rowdy teens on New Years' Eve, and another group caught drinking.

At 4:48 a.m. Thursday Jan. 2, someone asked deputies to investigate a dead body in the 31700 block of Rancho Viejo Road. Deputies and Orange County firefighters arrived and discovered the person had died of natural causes.

At 2:33 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 31, a caller asked deputies to keep the peace in the 26300 block of Oso Road. The caller said she lad lost her phone and turned on the tracker. The phone was at a home on Locust and the caller wanted to retrieve it. No arrest was made.

At 9:05 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 31, someone told deputies about a group of suspicious people in the 27000 block of Via Banderas. A group of teenagers was walking up and down a local neighborhood. Deputies arrived to investigate the situation.

At 1:12 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 1, a caller reported a group of suspicious people in the 33500 block of Valle Road. The caller said a group of teens was drinking on the top of a hill. Deputies arrived to investigate.
