Deputies Catch Burglar in the Act

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a vandalism, a man and woman yelling and a high school burglary.

At 10:59 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the 26500 block of Calle Santa Barbara. Deputies arrested an 18-year-old man at the scene. He is currently in custody with bail set at $50,000.

At 2:43 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported vandalism in the 31800 block of Plaza Drive. The informant stated that the windows of Mission Hospital Thrift 'n Gift had been covered in graffiti.

At 11:00 p.m. Sunday, a worried caller told deputies about a disturbance in the 30700 block of Calle Chueca. The caller had heard a man and woman arguing loudly near their house. However, when authorities arrived to remedy the situation, the arguing couple had left.

At 12:31 p.m. Monday, someone called the sheriff’s department to report a burglary in the 29200 block of Vista Montana. The informant explained that the burglary occurred at San Juan Hills High School in the office building. No arrest was made.
