Deputies Catch Burglar Red-Handed in San Juan Woman's Car

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a suspicious person involved in a BMX accident, a man angrily throws his shoes, and an unconscious man.

At 4:45 a.m. Thursday Nov. 7, a worried caller reported a burglary in progress in the 31900 block of Via Montura. The woman explained a burglar was inside her vehicle, which was parked in front of her house. Deputies arrived quickly and detained two suspected burglars and cleared the woman’s vehicle. One of the detainees, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and is currently in custody with bail sat at $125,000.

At 6:08 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 6, someone reported a disturbance in the 26400 block of Calle San Fransisco. The caller claimed a suspicious person on a black BMX had been involved in an accident. Deputies arrived at Mission Hospital to determine the situation.

At 9:01 a.m. Thursday Nov. 7, a confused caller told deputies about a disturbance near the cross streets of La Zanja and Los Rios Street. A man with no shirt had taken off his shoes and thrown them at a random pedestrian.

At 12:06 p.m. Thursday Nov. 7, deputies received report of a person down in the 26500 block of Mission Street. A man was lying unconscious in the street.
