Of All the Places to Jump into Traffic, This Isn't One of Them

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a couple engages in a verbal battle, firefighters assist an unconscious person, and deputies snag a suspected drunk.

At 4:41 p.m. Monday Dec. 30, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 32900 block of Camino Capistrano.man was jumping into traffic lanes directly in front of cars near the California Highway Patrol office.

Also:

At 10:43 p.m. Saturday Dec. 28, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26400 block of Brookfield Road. Two people were in a heated verbal fight. When deputies arrived, the spat had ended.

At 11:18 a.m. Sunday Dec. 29, someone asked deputies to investigate a person near the cross streets of Del Obispo Street and Camino Capistrano. An unknown person was allegedly unconscious near the Mission Thrift & Gift. Orange County firefighters arrived quickly to assist the downed person.

At 3:17 a.m. Monday Dec. 30, deputies stopped a vehicle near the cross streets of Ortega Highway and Rancho Viejo Road. They suspected the driver was intoxicated and arrested the 39-year-old man immediately. He has since been released from jail.
