Dumpster Divers Disturb Hotel Guests

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a pantless man peruses the neighborhood, a neighbor suspects drug use, and a woman catches construction workers on a technicality.

At 7:44 p.m. Sunday Nov. 10, a caller reported a group of trespassers in the 33700 block of Camino Capistrano. The informant claimed a group of people was inside a dumpster behind the local Residence Inn, which was making patrons uncomfortable.

At 2:05 p.m. Sunday Nov. 10, someone reported a suspicious person in the 3170 block of Camino Capistrano. A man with no pants was walking by the local Starbucks.

At 4:46 p.m. Sunday, an informant called the sheriff’s office to report a suspicious person in the 26500 block of Calle Santa Barbara. The caller claimed smelling drugs coming from a residential garage.

At 7:48 a.m. Monday Nov. 11, a caller told deputies about a mechanical disturbance in the 29200 block of Sonoma Way. The informant stated the house directly behind hers was undergoing noisy construction. The caller said the workers were breaking city code because Monday was Veteran’s Day – a federal holiday.
