Face Laceration Leads to Arrest

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Drywall in the roadway, a mother and daughter go at it, and more.

At 12:41 p.m. Saturday, a call of “unknown trouble” came in in the 27100 block of Calle Arroyo. The log says deputies were called in by firefighters who were treating someone with “face laceration.” Deputies arrested a 52-year-old man, who was being held at Central Men’s Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

At 4:38 p.m. Saturday, a traffic hazard was reported in the street near the intersection of Camino Capistrano and San Juan Creek Road. According to the report, three pieces of drywall were impeding traffic.

At 12:41 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a hit-and-run in a parking lot near the intersection of Camino Capistrano and Junipero Serra Road. The incident occurred earlier that morning. The informant was reportedly rear-ended by someone in a red Mitsubishi Eclipse, who sped away from the scene.

At 10:05 a.m. Saturday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department was called upon to assist an outside agency investigate a report of mail theft in the 28100 block of Pacifica Del Mar.

At 10:01 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a family dispute in the 31200 block of Calle San Pedro. The informant said a mother and daughter were involved in a physical altercation.

At 4:58 p.m.  Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 32900 block of Paseo Del Amor. According to the report, the caller could hear someone yelling that someone is in a house. The caller also reported a group of 10 people was disturbing the peace in a nearby greenbelt area next to a pool. There were no weapons seen.
