Fire Damages SJC Mobile Home

Firefighters quickly extinguish the blaze, but not before it causes more than $30,000 in damage. No one was injured.

A structure fire Monday night damaged a mobile home on Alipaz Street in San Juan Capistrano, but no one was injured.

The Orange County Fire Authority got the call at around 10:56 p.m., said spokesman Marc Stone.

An adult daughter was visiting her mother in the senior-living mobile-home park at 32371 Alipaz St., taking the dog for a walk around the block, when she noticed fire coming from her mom's backyard, Stone said.

The blaze started in a shed but moved quickly to the fence, the back of one unit, and to the backyard shed of another mobile home, Stone said.

“The cause is still under investigation,” he said.

Fire officials estimated $25,000 in damage to the structures and $5,500 to contents, Stone said.

It took firefighters about 15 minutes to knock down the flames.
