Furniture Blocks Traffic on Ortega at 4 a.m.

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, vandalism, trespassers, and a group of 'shifty' teens.

At 4:42 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Ortega Highway and La Novia Avenue. A large piece of furniture was reportedly blocking traffic lanes.

At 10:35 a.m. Thursday Aug. 15, someone called the sheriff’s office to report vandalism in the 31400 block of El Horno Street. The caller claimed an unknown person had graffitied a building that belongs to the local Women’s Club.

At 12:59 p.m. Friday, an informant told deputies about a disturbance near the cross streets of Calle Chueca and Calle Resplendor. A group of teens who didn't live in the neighborhood was using the community pool.

At 7:39 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a group of suspicious people in the 32300 block of Alipaz Street. The informant said to be on the lookout for four shifty teenagers.

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher.
