Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, an angry FedEx customer and suspicious salesmen.

At 12:08 a.m. July 29, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of hit and run near the Ortega Highway and El Camino Real. He was later released from jail.

At 11:22 a.m. July 28, an informant told deputies a customer was fighting with the staff at a FedEx office in the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street.

At 2 a.m. Tuesday, someone reported a suspicious vehicle with no license plates near El Camino Real and Acjachema Street. Deputies searched the white Toyota Tacoma, but found nothing suspicious.

At 11:16 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported three men believed to be illegally selling goods at a table set up on the sidewalk near the Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano.

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher.
