A Ladera Ranch bank branch was robbed today of an undisclosed amount of money.

The U.S. Bank branch at 111 Corporate Drive was held up about 9:20 a.m., Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

The robber passed a note to a teller demanding money and fled, Hallock said. No weapon was seen in the stickup, he said.

The suspect was described as a man in his mid-30s who is about 5-foot-4 and weighs about 160 pounds, Hallock said. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt, sunglasses, a gray beanie, jeans and white tennis shoes, Hallock said.

It looks like someone was trying to gather enough money to pay their water bill in San Juan Capistrano.

Thank you Tornado. I needed to laugh. Best laugh all day. I actually spit my water out.

Water is cheaper in Ladera Donna Fleming, they are not used to having to rob the bank to pay the water bill. I am sure they will catch the person quickly as newspapers are not banned in Ladera.
