Off-Duty EMT Calms Drunk While Waiting for Firefighters to Arrive

At 4:24 p.m. Monday Jan. 6, someone asked deputies for assistance near the cross streets of Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano. An unknown person in a white sedan was slurring his words and becoming aggressive. An off-duty EMT was already assisting the intoxicated person. Orange County firefighters arrived to assist.

At 8:36 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 7, a caller reported a burglary in the 31700 block of Camino Capistrano. An employee from the Swallow’s Inn reported the employee's vehicle had been stolen.
At 1:42 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 8, deputies received a call about a suspicious person in the 28100 block of Via Del Mar. A caller heard a noise outside the apartment window, and then several car alarms went off down the street.
At 4:54 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 8, a caller reported grand theft in the 33500 block of Via De Agua. An unknown person had stolen pool equipment from a residential home.
