Owner Loses Car, Owner Gets Car Back

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Demolition, a mysterious car and more. These are selected reports form the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

Thursday at 6:31 a.m., a resident in the 26500 block of Calle Delphina called the sheriff’s department to complain that a neighbor was doing some type of demolition. Deputies were unable to make contact with the neighbor.

Tuesday at 2:53 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 28200 block of Paseo Establo. Deputies discovered an older Jeep Wrangler with its keys in the ignition. There was no one home at the residence in front of which it was parked.

Monday at 4:20 p.m., someone reported a hit-and-run in the parking lot at Union Bank on Camino Capistrano. The informant said the car was parked, and the accident happened earlier that day.

 Monday at 9:47 a.m., a car reported stolen earlier in the week in the 26200 block of Maplewood Court was returned to the owner. The silver Honda Civic was first reported stolen Sunday at 4:10 p.m. The owner said it was last seen between 5-6 p.m. Friday.
