Pedestrians Celebrate New Year's Early with Drink and Pee

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a group of rowdy pedestrians, a vandal strikes, and a skateboarding teens perturb.

At 2:32 p.m. Saturday Dec. 28, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26400 block of Paseo Carolina. A group of people in the middle of a residential street was drinking and urinating while cheering.

Also:

At 9:57 p.m. Friday Dec. 27, someone reported a traffic hazard near the cross streets of La Novia Avenue and Valle Road. A group of pedestrians was throwing objects at passing cars.

At 9:01 a.m. Saturday Dec. 28, a caller told deputies about a vandalism in the 31900 block of Paseo Terraza. An unknown person had vandalized a rehabilitation center.

At 1:42 p.m. Saturday Dec. 28, deputies received a call about a disturbance in the 33900 block of Calle Conejo. Some teens were skateboarding in the street and disturbing residents.

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher.
