Police Investigating Shooting in San Juan Capistrano

The Gang Enforcement Team was called to the Saturday-night shooting on Calle San Francisco.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the torso Saturday night in San Juan Capistrano, and the Sheriff’s Department’s Gang Enforcement Team is assisting in the investigation, according to Lt. Rolan Chacon.

Few details have been released by authorities about the shooting in the 26500 block of Calle San Francisco, including the name and condition of the man that was shot. The shooting was reported at 11:28 p.m.

“We have investigators that are currently and actively working the investigation,” Chacon said.
