Pot, Shoplifting and an Angry Drunk

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Various reports pulled from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log throughout the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At 8:21 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to keep the peace in the 34000 block of Calle Borrego. The informant needed assistance with her son, who was refusing to go to his alternative suspension school. Deputies detained the minor and handled the situation. 

At 6:03 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 31400 block of Calle La Purisima. According to the report, the informant saw several men loitering and smoking marijuana joints in a garage area

At 5:02 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31000 block of Corte Aurora. The informant was requesting assistance for his friend who freaking out and hitting walls. They suspect he was under the influence of some kind of narcotics.

At 3:36 p.m. Monday, deputies arrested a 24-year-old-man in the 32100 block of Camino Capistrano. The man was detained for stealing from and was taken into custody. Bail was set at $40,000.

At 4:36 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 32800 block of Valle Road. According to the report, a drunk and out-of-control man was running around Forster Ranch Road, hitting residents. 

At 11:29 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported hearing gun shots fired near the Los Rios-Ramos streets intersection. The informant reported hearing only one shot fired and saw no suspects. 

At 10:02 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 32100 block of Paseo Carolina. According to the report, a 24-year-old-man was throwing rocks at the informant's vehicle in a parking lot. The man was last seen heading north on Del Obispo Street. 

At 5:43 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street. According to the report, firefighters were dispatched for a woman who intoxicated and on pain medication while shopping at . The woman appeared to be delirious and was asking employees to give her a ride somewhere.
