Racing on Ortega, Irate Roommates

These are various reports selected from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past week.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided. 

At midnight Monday, a caller reported some reckless driving near the intersection of Ortega Highway and La Novia Avenue. According to the report, there was a silver Honda Civic and another black vehicle that were attempting to race each other on Ortega Hwy.

At 10:17 p.m. Sunday, an unidentified caller reported some suspicious activity taking place in the 30800 block of Calle Chueca, near the cross streets of Camino Capistrano and Calle Resplendor. According to the report, the informant saw the upstairs light on at this residence when he thought it should have been vacant.

At 8:43 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a public disturbance in the 26200 block of Oakwood Ct. According to the report, the woman was heard yelling in Spanish at another woman who has one child living with her at the location.  

At 5:23 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a fireworks violation near the crosstreets of Paseo Colonial and Avenida de Rosal. According to the report, the informant heard several people setting off M180s.

At 2:51 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a public disturbance within her own residence located near the corner of Ortega Hwy and Sundance Drive. She stated "that her roomate was being irate."

At 10:57 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31400 block of Calle La Purisima near the cross streets of Via Barcelona and Avenida de la Vista. According to the report, there was a loud party in the area.

At 9:26 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious person loitering around near the crosstreets of Calle San Diego and Calle San Antonio. According to the report, there were three men with shaved heads, dressed in dark clothing, and they were smoking near the area where the vending trucks park during the day.

At 8:30 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at corner of Blue Fin Drive. and Del Obispo Street. According to the report, deputies found a male asleep in the silver Chevy, which had extreme body damage.

At 8:08 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported several illegally parked vehicles located in the 31700 block of Avenida Evita near Calle Aspero. According to the report, numerous vehicles were blocking the roadway and driveways of residences because of a garage sale in the area.
