Racial Slur Prompts Call to Sheriff's

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a burglary arrest and drunken driving arrest.

At 11:36 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to Chase Bank because a man was holding a sign with racially derogatory statements in front of the bank.

At 4:01 p.m. Friday, a burglary in progress was reported in the 27800 of Horseshoe Bend. Deputies arrived and arrested a 39-year-old man who said his occupation was surfing.

At 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, deputies pulled over a gold Lexus with no license plates near the Ortega Highway-I-5 Interchange. A blood technician was called to the scene, and a 43-year-old man was arrested. He remains in custody with no bail amount posted.
