Railroad Tracks Are Not a Barcalounger

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 5:05 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 30100 block of Saddleridge Drive. When deputies arrived, they found a 28-year-old man with a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody. Bail was set at $500.

At 2:29 p.m. Sunday, deputies received a report about three boys sitting on the railroad tracks near the rear of Costco.

At 12:38 p.m. Sunday, deputies received a call about four male teenagers skateboarding near the intersection of Ortega Highway and Rancho Viejo road, almost running into passing cars.

At 6:38 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a driver a yellow Camaro barreling recklessly through the San Juan Mobile Home Estates. According to the informant, the driver was speeding and came close to hitting several people.

At 5:57 a.m. Sunday, a woman was reportedly in a heated, verbal argument with her landlord at a location near the intersection of Valle Road and Forster Ranch Road.

At 9:34 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 32100 block of Via Viente reported a suspicious person knocking on the door. The informant said the visitor claimed to be a process server but would not show identification, give a name or leave. Eventually, the man did leave in an older, white Acura.

At 9:11 p.m. Saturday, someone called in to complain about a loud party in the Capistrano Villas No. 2 in the 26500 block of La Zanja Street. According to the informant, the party was in a garage, and the party-goers were ignoring private security’s efforts to shush them.
