Register: Jurors Cry Looking at Wedding Photos of Capistrano Murder Victim

The Orange County Register reports that jurors dabbed at their eyes during closing arguments in the D.A.s third crack at sentencing to death Jason Russell Richardson.

Jurors wept Tuesday at the sight of Tom Egan—a San Juan Capistrano Marine slain four years ago at a Tustin Home Depot—on his wedding day, the Orange County Register reports.

According to the Register, prosecutors showed the photos to the jury during closing arguments Tuesday in the retrial of the penalty phase in their case against Egan's murderer.

, 40, was convicted last year of robbing a Tustin Home Depot and slaying the store's manager, 40-year-old Tom Egan. Prosecutors are taking their third shot at sentencing Richardson to death.

"Jurors dabbed at their eyes with tissues when Deputy District Attorney Cameron Talley showed them poster-size photos of murder victim Tom Egan on his wedding day and with his infant twin daughters before he was shot to death Feb. 9, 2007, as he was trying to protect his employees from a gun-toting robber," the Register reports.
