Sheriff's Blotter: Dec. 5, 2011

Various reports pulled from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log over the past few days.

The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 7:58 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a traffic accident in the 26400 block of Calle San Luis. A driver had crashed a gray vehicle into a light pole and damaged a stop sign. The driver was transported to Mission Hospital for a shoulder injury. 

At 7:56 p.m. Friday, police arrested a 43-year-old-man in the 26700 block of Verdugo Street. According to the report, a transient man was yelling at passenger on a train. He then entered Vito’s restaurant. The man was taken into custody, and bail was set for $500.

At 1:35 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31400 block of Camino Capistrano. Roughly 20 minors from JSerra High School were loitering and causing a disturbance in front of Capistrano Liquor. The minors refused to leave when asked. 

At 10:33 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26400 block of Evergreen Road. The informant was upset about their neighbors' loud party. The caller had asked the neighbors several times to turn down the volume to no avail.

At 9:09 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street. A transient man had locked himself side of a business’s restroom for several hours. He then proceeded to loiter in the store.

At 8:16 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31900 block of Del Obispo. According to the report, a red-haired transient woman was causing a disturbance in the Bank of America parking lot. The woman was making a scene and was pushing a shopping cart full of teddy bears. 

At 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the intersection of Avocado and Laurel Wood lanes. The informant saw several minor with carrying a tupperware wrapped in foil and suspected it was some kind of narcotics

At 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 32200 block of Camino Capistrano. According to the report, a man was seen hitting and kicking vehicles in a parking lots. He was wearing dark clothes and was last seen heading toward the railroad tracks. 

At 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, a non-injury traffic accident occurred near the intesection of Rancho Viejo Road and Ortega Highway. A white Ford F-150 had crashed with a delivery truck

At 2:09 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a court-order violation in the 33600 block of Camino Capistrano. A man's ex-girlfriend had called him at work and made threats.
