Deputies See Suspects Trying to Ditch Drugs

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a golf course-related theft, a talkative group of neighbors, and a couple of rowdy skateboarders.

At 10 p.m. Thursday Oct. 3, patrolling deputies stopped three suspicious men near a liquor store in the 32000 block of Alipaz Street. One man fled the scene, and one of the remaining suspects threw unknown objects over a wall. Deputies were able to detain two men and discovered the object thrown over the wall was marijuana. One man was cited and released on suspicion of possession of drugs, destruction of evidence and resisting/obstruction of deputies in the performance of their duties. The third man was interviewed and released. This report was given by Lt. John Meyer, chief of police services for San Juan Capistrano.

At 8:40 p.m. Thursday Oct. 3, someone reported a grand theft in the 32100 block of San Juan Creek Road. A man had items stolen from him at the San Juan Hills Golf Course.

At 10:52 p.m. Thursday Oct. 3, a caller told deputies about a disturbance in the 32500 block of Alipaz Street. Several men and women were talking and screaming close to the caller’s home.

At 11:38 a.m. Friday Oct. 4, deputies received a report about a disturbance in the 25500 block of Camino Del Avion. A group of teens was riding skateboards on picnic tables.
