Ashton Sachs, who is accused of driving from Seattle to San Juan Capistrano to kill his parents, allegedly injuring his younger brother in the process, pleaded not guilty Friday.

According to the Seattle Times, Ashton Sachs, 20, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Bradford Hans Sachs, 57, and his ex-wife, Andra Resa Sachs, 54, were found dead around 2 a.m. Feb. 9 inside their home in the 32000 block of Peppertree Bend. Their 8-year-old son was reportedly paralyzed after being shot.

Authorities believe Sachs also took a shot at his sister but missed.

I guess they aren't allowed to say what the 8 yr old said, if it was his brother or a stranger? Seems like that would close the case, also the sisters, but I guess we won't really know until it's over.

Dear Sara - sorry I haven't lived up to your level of knowledge of the insider information on this case but then again, I don't seem to live and breathe and salivate for each juicy morsel. I have read the articles regarding this case and I believe I am up to speed on all the speculation that's been promulgated in the Patch; speculation in which I will not indulge or entertain even the idea that the parents in this case deserved to be murdered because of their seemingly questionable business practices. Business problems happen, businesses close, employees are let go, partners lose money and taxes sometimes go unpaid; people get angry over these things but does that justify murder? Did the murderer do "us a service"? What a vile thing to say....there is most likely going to be a heartbreaking scenario family played out in court - I bet you can't wait! I hope you're planning on writing a book because you will have plenty of material.....

You did not know Andra Sachs! I did....that woman was so controlling, deceitful, manipulative, the most unscrupulous woman you could ever imagine. She was a textbook narcissistic sociopath! I would rather have seen her behind bars for all her evil misdoings but her money and unscrupulous ability to lie in front of a judge under oath would have made it impossible. Either Ashton was just like her or he felt there was no way out...even 1200 miles was not enough distance from her overbearing personality. I have read stories about other teens who kill their parents and it's always one parent who is overbearing. Teenagers want to become adults and resent being controlled.

Kelly, no I'm not. Had you read the previous comments, you would see that I was making a point in regards to "taxpayer money" being spent on Ashton's defense. It's awful that he killed his father and paralyzed his adopted brother, but having done extensive research on Andra, she was an awful person that took advantage of anyone and anything she could, including YOUR tax dollars. I have no tolerance for people that cheat, lie and steal and she did ALL of those things to an extreme I cannot even fathom. The irony being her own son may have done it, that explains a lot about who she was, IMO. When one kills their parents, it's generally for financial gain, even the DA isn't selling that story.

The brother is adopted? I have never heard that before...
