Runaway Crib Blocks Freeway-Bound Traffic

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a golf course tagger, a car vandal, and a vehicle search that goes nowhere.

At 8:34 a.m. Saturday Dec. 7, a concerned caller reported a traffic hazard near the cross streets of Stonehill Drive and Camino Capistrano. A crib was in the middle of an onramp to the I-5 Freeway.

Also:

At 11:37 a.m. Friday Dec. 6, someone reported vandalism in the 32100 block of San Juan Creek Road. An unknown person had tagged the San Juan Hills golf course.

At 3:48 p.m. Friday Dec. 6, a caller told deputies about vandalism in the 26300 block of Oso Road. Someone had vandalized her car in the parking lot of Saddleback Valley Christian School.

At 5:20 p.m. Friday Dec. 6, deputies received a call about a person in a suspicious vehicle in the 27100 block of Mission Hills Drive. Deputies arrived and detained two people to search the vehicle. No arrest was made.

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher.
