Cue the theme music from "Psycho." At 8:36 a.m. Wednesday, someone stopped by Police Services to report a petty theft. The complainant’s windshield wipers were stolen on Saturday.

At 7:11 a.m. Wednesday, a petty theft was reported from St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. The informant said the culprit may be intoxicated and was last seen running toward Calle Arroyo. A witness reported seeing him in the San Juan Creek bed under the I-5 Freeway.

At 7:49 a.m. Tuesday, a caller in the 32400 block of Alipaz Street reported that he did two days’ worth of work for a customer and now the customer is refusing to pay. The two were in a heated, verbal argument, but then the customer tried to leave in a green station wagon. Deputies were able to intervene.

At 11:35 p.m. Monday, a caller phoned the sheriff’s department to complain about a jackhammer making too much noise near the intersection of La Novia Avenue and Via Entrada. According to the report, a city crew was working on a broken water main.

At 2:35 p.m. Monday, deputies stopped a cyclist and found a probationer in violation of the terms of his probation. The 43-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody without bail.
