Swim Coach Pleads Guilty to Sex With Teen, Gets 16 Months

Police say Todd Sousa admitted to having sex several times with a 15-year-old.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is interviewing some of Todd Sousa's female students.

Todd Sousa will be arraigned Friday in Newport Beach.

A judge bars Todd Sousa from being in the presence of girls between the ages of 14 and 18.

Todd Sousa manages the company behind Atlantis Aquatics, a swim school formed after his arrest. Atlantis also occupies the office of his old outfit, Swim Venture.

Sousa was arrested Feb. 24 in San Juan Capistrano.

Todd Sousa, accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student, waives his right to a preliminary hearing, where a judge would have decided if there was enough evidence against him to hold a trial.

Todd Robert Sousa, charged with having sex with a teenage student, could accept the offer during a court appearance Friday afternoon in Santa Ana.

Upon accepting a plea deal Friday, Todd Sousa is sentenced to state prison. The teenage victim's parents say he manipulated their daughter.
