Technology Helps Track Stolen Phone

At 1:13 p.m. Saturday, someone calling from the athletic fields at JSerra Catholic High School reported a cell phone had been stolen. The caller was able to activate the phone locator, which showed it at Calle Chueca.

At about 2:36 a.m. Saturday, during directed patrol in the Capistrano Villas, deputies initiated a vehicle stop on Hector Cruz, 26, on Paseo San Gabriel.  He was allegedly found to be alledgely in possession of cocaine.  He was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of violating felony drug laws.

At 9:38 p.m. Friday, deputies contacted Lionel Almanza, 18, and Shea Musiime, 27, both of San Juan Capistrano at the Alipaz Street-Camino Del Avion intersection.  After a search and investigation deputies found both to be allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.  Almanza and Musiime were arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on the suspicion of violating felony drug laws.  Musiime’s bail was set at $20,000.

At 6:25 p.m. Friday, deputies contacted Juan Diaz, 21, of San Juan Capistrano, in the 32000 block of Paseo Carolina during a search, deputies allegedly found methamphetamine and marijuana. Diaz was arrested on suspicion of violating felony drug laws and booked into Orange County Jail with no bail amount posted.

At 5:59 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a vandalism in program in the 30800 block of Paseo el Arco. According to the report, someone was either kicking or throwing objects at her garage door and damaged it.
