Two Stabbed in Fight on San Juan Capistrano Streets

A third victim, a 60-year-old man, was struck by a brick.

A small melee on the streets of a San Juan Capistrano neighborhood Wednesday left two men stabbed and another injured by a brick.

The trouble began around 6 p.m.  when three men confronted a group of four or five men dressed in black, said Lt. John Meyer, chief of police services for San Juan Capistrano.

“The victims confronted the suspects over an unknown problem as they walked past a residence in the 26000 block” of Calle San Francisco, Meyere said. “A fight ensued.”

Two unnamed men, both 40 and from San Juan Capistrano, had been stabbed, while a 60-year-old man was struck by a brick, Meyer said. All three were transported to a local hospital but had non-life-threatening injuries.

“The suspects fled the area and the investigation is ongoing at this time,” Meyer said.
