Cheapskate Didn't Want to Pay for Train Ride

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a wanted man is found, a drunk man overstays his welcome, and a boxy truck blocks traffic.

At 4:49 p.m. Friday Jan. 10, someone reported a disturbance in the 26700 block of Verdugo Street. A man was refusing to pay the train fare at the San Juan Metrolink station.

At 8:24 p.m. Friday Jan. 10, deputies pulled a warrant for a man’s arrest in the 26500 block of Calle San Francisco. The 25-year-old man was immediately arrested and is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

At 11:36 p.m. Friday Jan. 10, sheriff’s received a call about a drunk pedestrian in the 33700 block of Camino Capistrano. The inebriated man was wandering around the local Residence Inn. Deputies arrived to remove the man.

At 10:07 a.m. Saturday Jan. 11, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the I-5 Freeway and Ortega Highway. A large truck was stopped in the middle of traffic and blocking the No. 2 lane.
