Woman Goes on a Bender in a Benz

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Drunks arrested and kids getting too close to the railroad tracks.

These are selected reprots from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 7:56 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an illegally parked vehicle in the 32000 block of Paseo Amante. The informant stated a dark gray Volkswagen Beetle was parked too far from the curb

At 11:04 p.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 38-year-old man near the Ortega Highway and I-5 freeway interchange. The man appeared to driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was towed and a female passenger was transported to a location off La Zanja Street. He was taken into custody with no posted bail amount.

At 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a drunk driver in the 33900 block of Doheny Park Road. The report stated that a suspected drunk driver at a gas station was blocking traffic lanes. The driver was in a silver sedan and proceeded to stand outside of his vehicle. 

At 3:32 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a non-injury traffic accident near the intersection of Del Obispo Street and Avenida Pedrigal. The report stated that a silver PT Cruiser had collided with a blue Dodge pickup truck. Both parties were seen exchanging information.

At 9:17 p.m. Monday, deputies arrested a 47-year-old man in the 26500 block of Junipero Serra Road. The woman appeared to be intoxicated and was found passed out inside a black Mercedes Benz. The vehicle was searched and the woman was detained. She was later cited and released. 

At 6:19 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 31400 block of Los Rios Street. The informant stated that a man and a woman were heard in a heated verbal argument. There was no report of an arrest or use of narcotics. 

At 4:35 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspected drunk driver near the corner of Alipaz and Del Obispo streets. The informant reported that a driver of a red pickup truck was seen swerving around cars and running stop signs.

At 12:41 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the Avenida Aeropuerto-Camino Capistrano intersection. The informant appeared to be concerned about a group of minors who were loitering near the railroad tracks.
