UPDATE: Woman Identified in Fatal Crash Near Metrolink

Coroner's report says the driver was Esther Marino, 76, of Laguna Niguel.

Officials have identified the woman who was killed Wednesday afternoon when her car crashed as Esther Marino, 76, of Laguna Niguel.

Her Toyota Camry was traveling east on Paseo De Colinas when it jumped the curb at 1 Starr Drive, went through a greenbelt, over a chain-link fence and came to a rest on the train tracks below, Orange County sheriff's officials said.

Officials said the car was traveling at high speed. No one else was hurt.

According to the coroner's report it was "driver of auto vs. auto out of control."

The crash caused major traffic tie-ups, including the closing of the southbound 5 Freeway off-ramp at Avery Parkway until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Metrolink trains were also delayed  for several hours.

The crash is under investigation.

Wait, so the Carolla went off of one of those overpasses?! Driver of auto vs. auto out of control sounds like the sudden acceleration issue...
