Dana Point 22-Year-Old Is Killed in Afghanistan

Sgt. Tyler N. Holtz was killed Saturday when his unit came under small arms fire.

A 22-year-old Dana Point man was killed while serving in Afghanistan, the U.S. Department of Defense announced today.

Sgt. Tyler N. Holtz was killed Saturday in Wardak province when his unit
came under attack with small arms fire.

Holtz was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Joint
Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
