Open House: SDG&E Reliability Enhancement Project

San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) will host an Open House on Wednesday, November 16 regarding the utility's planned "reliability upgrades" for South Orange County.

Residents can drop by the Open House at the San Juan Hills Country Club, 32120 San Juan Creek Road, during the day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. or at night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. SDG&E staff will be on hand to discuss the South Orange County Reliability Enhancement.

The project calls for upgrading lines, poles and substations and involves rebuilding the substation in San Juan Capistrano that was originally built in the 1950s, along with other work. The four to five-year project will be done in phases to minimize impacts and is expected to begin after permits are obtained in late 2013.
