VIDEO: San Juan Hills Supervisor Attends Medal of Honor Ceremony

Hear the comments President Obama had for the recipients, including Bob Nietzel, who accepted on behalf of his cousin, Alfred B. Nietzel, a World War II sergeant.

Today was the day. The day when Bob Nietzel, a campus supervisor at San Juan Hills, stood in for his cousin to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor for his bravery in World War II.

Alfred B. Nietzel,ordered his men to a safer locale while remaining in a forward position with a machine gun, holding off the German advance. He was killed in 1944 by a German hand grenade.
