Turnout at Orange County precincts is dramatically less than in 2008, according to the county Registrar of Voters.
Communicating the modern way – via tweets, of course – the agency said: “Sample turnout at 1:00pm is 15.63%. In 2008 it was 27%. VBMs have had an effect for sure. #turnout.”
VBMs is the abbreviation for vote-by-mail.
What have you seen at the polls? At 3:10 p.m. a small line was seen at Ambuehl Elementary School. At lunch time, the turnout at South Coast Assembly Church seemed light, the parking lot not crowded.
