San Juan Capistrano voters today the future of a development project that includes hundreds of homes, an office building and equestrian center while preserving acres of open space.

Measure B will determine future development of two sites in the city, including the Distrito La Novia and San Juan Meadows projects. Supporters argue the projects will be much less dense than a 1998 plan that has already been approved.

Opponents say the projects are still too dense, will increase traffic, send water rates soaring and harm already existing businesses.
