BLOG: MMA Fighters Endorse Bully Buster USA

Bully Buster USA links up with professional fighters and becomes a platinum sponsor at the largest martial arts gathering in Las Vegas this July.

Historically, parents who have children who are getting bullied turn to their local martial arts studios where kids learn to build confidence and gain practical self-defense.

This is the reason I started training Tae Kwan Do when I was a kid, and soon thereafter the bullying stopped! I now teach at and have a lot of passion for teaching kids how to become bully-proof and how to believe in themselves.

Each year, martial arts school owners from across the globe meet in Las Vegas with suppliers, consultants, martial arts legends and other business professionals at the  MASuperShow to learn about the newest trends and tools to provide their community with the best instruction possible.

With all of the media attention on bullying this year, it is no surprise that the focus of this year’s show in July is on highlighting solutions to bullying and cyber-bullying, one of the nation’s biggest youth issues. It was just announced that MASuperShow guests will hear from acclaimed Director Lee Hirsch as the opening ceremony keynote speaker.

Hirsch's latest film, Bully, a documentary exploring America's bullying epidemic while following the stories of five families struggling with this harmful practice, won six major film festival awards before its nationwide theater opening by the Weinstein Company.

Helping studio owners deliver cyber-bullying solutions across the nation, Bully Buster USA, a Platinum sponsor of this year’s show, will team up with Iconosys to launch the Word Bully™ 3.0 app, a Smartphone solution to fight cyber-bullying; among other features, Word Bully includes a directory that assists concerned parents in finding local Karate studios.

We are gaining great support from the professional fighting community and have commitments from fighters who will be at our booth in Vegas, endorsing the app and signing autographs for fans. Here is what a few of our endorsing fighters are saying about cyber-bullying and the WordBully Phone App:

When I was asked to endorse this new phone app from Iconosys to stop the practice of cyber-bullying, it was truly a no brainer. It sounds like this Smartphone app helps kids and other potential victims protect themselves from ‘sucker punches’ and sneak attacks of cyber-predators. - Andrew "the Golden Boy" Yates

As a professional fighter, I’m proud to stand behind anti-bullying efforts in the community. Teachers have their hands full these days, without having to worry that their students are being harmed and abused in this way.- Cris Cyborg

Word Bully 3.0 sounds amazing, and is definitely a step in the right direction.- Kim "Sugar Free" Couture

Standing up to cyber-bullies is a new and different fight since we can’t see or hear the enemy, except when it’s too late.  A phone app that tackles the issue is such a great idea, sign me up! - Stacy "The Hammer" Hayes

Cyber-bullying has no rules, and technology lets the bullies hide behind their phones and computer screens … clearly an unfair fight. Michelle "Diablita" Gutierrez

I am excited to be part of such a great cause, and feel honored to be able to share our product with the support of professional fighters to bring to industry leaders from across the globe at this year’s MASuperShow!
