What a piece of poop. If his brain was as big as his ego he would be marginally intelligent.

Hearing the national debates where candidates proposed bringing more power to the local school boards sounds like a good idea, but then you see this, and it doesn't seem like such a good idea anymore, especially in CUSD.

Shameful ... disturbing ... shocking ... maddening ... jaw-dropping ... disgusting ... WOW!!!!

That a majority of our elected officials could behave like this leaves me speechless. How dare they? Anyone who's outraged by this needs to contact the trustees. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. And should certainly be voted out of office. Is it really too much to ask for there to be an open debate before we lop off three weeks of school? And raise class sizes again? And cut programs? And lay off more teachers? Jaw-dropping is right.

I think everyone needs to contact John through his election website and let him know what an idiot he is ....... http://johnalpay.com/contact.html

Pritchard is a bully and was 100% wrong. He just lost his re-election bid by acting like a child, enjoy your last few days on the board, I would vote for a ham sandwich over him.

I assume you don't like ham sandwiches. :) Of course, a ham sandwich is much more valuable and intelligent than Prtichard & "I'llpay."

I am just learning about this for the first time and am outraged! This is not democracy. The children of this community deserve better. I can't imagine that Alpay and Pritchard are proud of this moment. We need elected officials to represent the communities that put them in office in an honorable and upstanding manner. Shame on them and shame on anyone who reelects them.

If they weren't proud of the moment, they sure were laughing about it. What really got me (beyond the fact that everyone should be given the opportunity to speak before a decision is made) was that Pritchard called on Addonizio. Then, Alpay interrupted when someone else had been given the floor, which I believe is contrary to Robert's Rules of Order. When Pritchard cuts Addonizio off and accepts Alpay's motion, he cites Robert's Rules of Order as the reason. Shouldn't he have rejected the motion citing RRO?

Please no cussing, not even masked. Thanks!

This is the first thing I've ever heard from Alpay and immediately the word usurper comes to mind. This we gotta pass it before we know whats in it kind of mentality is not acceptable. Has this budget been properly reconciled to ensure it doesnt have any hidden earmarks that might benefit those that wont allow a discussion regarding its merits or demerits. Perhaps denying discussion prevents questions from being raised
