Principal Named for Serra High School

Joshua Hill, principal of Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, will come down from Big Bear Mountain to serve as principal of Junipero Serra High School, a continuation school in the Capistrano Unified School District.

Hill, who has also served as principal/coordinator of Alternative Programs for Rim of the World Unified School District, will replace Richard Bellante, who is retiring in June (subscription required to view this link to the Orange County Register).

Serra serves students who struggle at the more traditional high schools. The state recognized it earlier this year as a model continuation high school. 

Come fall, Hill will be one of three new high school principals in Capo. A new principal has also recently been appointed at Tesoro High. Meanwhile, San Clemente High School’s principal is moving to a middle school, with a replacement to be announced.
