VIDEO: Retiring Headmaster Gets a Long Line of High Fives

SJC-TV: Watch more than 1,000 students say goodbye.

After 10 years as headmaster at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, Marcus Hurlbut took one last walk of fame, through a human tunnel of adoring students.

Wearing red shirts that said, “2013 School’s Out, Forever a Tartan,” the students snaked around the main quad field, forming a reception line that ended at Pasternack Field House for the school year’s closing ceremonies.

Hurlbut wore a camera on his cap to commemorate the experience. The various schools gifted him with a red cardigan sweater, a wiffle ball set and a guitar.
